My first real milestone came in 2021, when I had the opportunity to curate a photography exhibition at one of Athens’ most vibrant cultural venues: the Dyonisos et Apollon Theater. That experience marked a turning point, giving me the confidence and motivation to pursue my path more fully.
In recent years, my vision has become more focused, centering around a clear mission: to tell the story of both tangible and intangible heritage. This direction flows naturally from my academic background in Art History a field that deeply shapes my perspective and the subjects I choose to portray.
I was born in Sicily, with Sardinian roots, and at the age of 15 I moved with my family to Northern Italy. This spirit of movement has always been part of me, pushing me to travel and live abroad whenever I could during my studies. My camera has never left my side; it became not only a means of expression but also a tool for documentation a way to witness a world in constant transformation.
With time, I’ve come to understand the power of photography as an investigative and narrative instrument, capable of preserving memory and giving voice to places, traditions, and identities. Today, my work is devoted to projects that explore and honor cultural heritage in all its forms.
After nearly five years between Italy, several European cities, and a year spent in Australia, I’ve returned home with a clear intention: to tell the story of my land especially Sicily. A place that, despite the distance and years apart, I know, understand, and feel a sense of belonging to more than any other on earth.
